Service Above Self Day

Chariho Rotarians inititiated four projects within our local communities. At the Arcadia YMCA,

The Club purchased mulch and Rotarians Scott Mc Leod, Rita Casady, Jennifer Eriksen, Frank Hopkins and volunteer Paul Casady showed up to spread it in the playground area.  The Club has

also  set aside funding for the building of a new closet at the Arcadia YMCA, when their new floors

are installed. The band of Rotarians will then return, putting on painters hats and...............well, we'll see how that turns out.

After finishing up the play yard, The Rotarians

left for Crandall Field, where our Swamp Yankee

Days Festival (September 27-28, 2008) has been

held for the past eight years.

We had asked the Recreation Director, Mary

Sawyer, what could we do to "brighten" her day.

We agreed on shelving units for one of the storage

units. These units were donated by Rotarian

Jim Mello.  So..........we ended up at Crandall Field, put the units together...and called it a day,

almost!
